Jeff Langr has a series of blog posts called the Database TDD Blog Series. To date there are 28 posts for this series, which walks through the creating data access code using TDD and Java. In his introduction Jeff mentions that he uses this as a repeated exercise, in the same vein as the TDD bowling kata.
